Silt Fence is a temporary sediment control barrier made of UV-stabilized geotextile fabric supported by stakes. It’s designed to slow runoff and retain silt, clay, and sand on construction sites.
Silt Fence helps keep soil on site and prevents sediment from entering nearby waterways or storm drains. By slowing water flow, it allows sediment to settle out before leaving the disturbed area.
Silt Fence is installed along site perimeters, downhill edges, and around disturbed soils during construction. It’s also commonly used near water bodies and environmentally sensitive areas to control sediment runoff.
Silt Fence fabric is available in common heights such as 24”, 30”, 36”, and 42”, with multiple fabric weights and roll lengths. Stakes are offered in different heights and lumber sizes to match site conditions.
The fence fabric is made from woven polypropylene geotextile that is UV-resistant and durable. Hardwood or softwood stakes provide structural support during installation and use.
