The Silt Saver Pipe Stopper is a patented horizontal pipe sediment control device designed to prevent sediment, debris, trash, and animals from entering stormwater pipes during construction. It clips directly into the pipe opening using a durable, reusable HDPE frame and a custom-fitted filter cover.

The Pipe Stopper installs in minutes without tools. The rigid HDPE frame clips directly into the interior of HDPE, concrete, or corrugated plastic pipe, creating a secure fit. The filter cover then stretches over the frame (similar to fitting a shower cap) and is ready to filter stormwater flow immediately after installation.

The Pipe Stopper is available in six standard sizes to fit internal pipe diameters of 12″, 15″, 18″, 24″, 30″, and 36″. Each size is designed to clip securely into the corresponding pipe without additional hardware or fasteners. The six available sizes cover the most common stormwater pipe diameters used in residential, commercial, and municipal construction projects, making the Pipe Stopper a versatile solution across a wide range of jobsite conditions.

The Pipe Stopper is available with two filter configurations to match different site conditions and stormwater flow requirements:

• 2 Stage DOT Filter: Provides greater sediment retention, making it the preferred choice for sites with high sediment loads or strict stormwater permit requirements
• High Flow Filter: Designed to accommodate higher volumes of water flow while still capturing sediment, ideal for sites with significant stormwater runoff

Unprotected horizontal stormwater pipe inlets are one of the leading causes of sediment accumulation during construction. Without inlet protection, sediment-laden runoff flows directly into stormwater infrastructure, creating two problems: regulatory non-compliance and expensive pipe clean-outs before final inspections can be completed.
